Town Supervisor Jeff Leenhouts
"This is an exciting moment for the Town of Penfield as we open the new Shadow Pines Recreation Area, featuring our first-ever inclusive playgrounds and pickleball courts. This project has been years in the making, and with valuable input from the community, it represents our shared vision for accessible recreation for all residents. We're proud to see this vision come to life today."
Senator Samra Brouk
“I am proud to have secured a capital grant to fund the creation of new recreational spaces for our residents. We know how important it is to secure resources that promote inclusivity and wellness for our community members.”
The recreation area will remain open throughout the year, weather permitting. All amenities, including the pickleball courts and pavilion, can be used on a first-come, first-served basis for the remainder of 2024.
