With its renowned tailgating experience, it remains the only event in the state where spectators can witness authorized steeplechase races over timber jumps. Children can participate in various activities such as stick horse races and pony rides, while everyone can indulge in food, drink, wine and craft beer tasting, shopping, music, and much more. Offering something for everyone's enjoyment, the Hunt Races offer a blend of an old-fashioned country fair ambiance and the exhilaration of racing.
The Genesee Valley Hunt Races have been a cherished tradition for over a century, showcasing the excitement of horse racing to trainers, owners, and jockeys. However, it's not limited to horses alone. This event also celebrates the world of dogs with thrilling activities such as Terrier and wiener dog races, jumping contests, agility courses, sled dog demonstrations, and the Parade of the Genesee Valley Hunt foxhounds. Leashed dogs are welcomed, and many patrons claim that dog-watching is as entertaining as watching the horses.
