We have partnered with Farmhouse Table Foods for a new Sustainable Table Dinner on September 25th at 5:30 p.m. here at Seneca Park Zoo!
Celebrate harvest with an evening of seasonal food and an exploration of the way seasons and the effects of climate change impact how humans and animals eat. We’ll begin the evening with informative chats about the way Zoo animals are affected by the seasons when in their natural range, how Seneca Park Zoo provides for these daily needs, and then hear about how seasonality alters how we eat locally.
Farmhouse Table Food will provide a locally sourced four course family style menu with selections for a variety of palates and diets. Your ticket includes your after-hours access to the Zoo, a delicious menu, and a donation to the Zoo Society. Dinner begins at 6pm. Guests must be 21+, cash bar available (omnivore, vegetarian, and gluten-free options available)
For 85$ per person, you’ll be able to enjoy a welcome drink along with the following:
Farmers Market Boards of local cheeses fresh seasonable vegetables, house made hummus and dips and other locally sourced charcuterie.
Appetizers include corn fritters with lime crema, local concord grape and brie tartlet, and watermelon caprese skewers.
Family Style Dinner features salad with roasted vegetables and bread to pass, sides of roasted squash with house ricotta, pomegranate and tahini, pappardelle pasta with roasted tomatoes and corn crema, and confit garlic and herb smashed potatoes.
Protein entrees are shareable and include apple roasted chicken with house chimichurri or brined pork loin over peperonata sauce.
Dessert of assorted cobbler bars, mini whoopie pie and mousse cups.
Do good while eating well!
